PBL InterferonSource is pleased to announce the launch of the iLite™ Human IFN-Alpha Kit. This novel gene reporter cell-based assay kit is a simple and rapid test for the detection and quantification of the Type I interferon biological activity in cell culture medium and serum. This kit also precisely measures the human interferon activity contained within various other liquid samples (e.g. cerebrospinal fluid samples or certain fermentation broths).
The test is a revolutionary format for a bioassay that eliminates the need for continuous cell culture, preparation of viral stocks and the subjective estimation of cytopathology. With the iLite™Human IFN-Alpha Kit, an interferon biological activity assay becomes as simple as removing the kit from the freezer, adding reporter cells and sample, and getting your results in 8-18 hours depending upon your research objectives. Furthermore, since this kit is produced under the strict ISO 13485:2003 regulations for cell-based assay design and manufacture, you are assured consistent and accurate results each time.
