Cynomolgus Interferon Alpha 2 [Ile 16]

Product Information: The cDNA for Cyno IFN-Alpha 2 was cloned from Cynomolgus (Macaca fascicularis) primary hepatocytes. Two sequences were identified, the first was found to be identical to the putative Rhesus IFN-Alpha 2 (XM_001107516) PBL Cat No. 14110 (Rhesus/Cyno IFN Alpha 2). The second, PBL Cat No. 16100-1 (Cynomolgus IFN Alpha 2 [Ile 16]), may represent an allelic form which differs from the Rhesus/Cyno Alpha 2 sequence by 1 amino acid. This version has Isoleucine at position 16 while the Rhesus/Cyno Alpha 2 has Methionine at position 16. Both forms were identified multiple times from the hepatocytes.
